Cleaning Up the Past. Building Warren's Future.
Warren Brownfields Project
Why We Are Here
The Town of Warren has received a $4 million grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to clean up the former Steamship Navigation property on Route 90.
For decades, more than 300,000 cubic yards of waste carpet material have occupied over 30 acres of this 71-acre property. Today, Warren has an opportunity to address the environmental contamination left behind—and begin imagining what this property could become.
This website is where our community can follow that work.
This cleanup project is currently in its Planning and Engineering phase.
